- A Pit to pit
- Armpit seam to armpit seam, across the front
- B Length
- Collar to hem, down the back
- C Sleeve
- Shoulder seam to cuff
Everything is measured flat, unstretched, in centimetres. Double pit to pit for the chest all the way round.
Compare with a jacket you own
- Lay a jacket that fits you well flat on a table, zipped.
- Measure A, B and C the same way.
- Compare with the jacket you like: within 2 to 3 cm on pit to pit is a similar fit.
Japanese sizes
Most of our jackets carry Japanese (JASPO) size tags, which usually run about one size small against UK sizes. Each listing shows the tag and the UK size we'd call it. Where a tag is missing or faded, we say so.
