Founded 1959 in Perugia, Italy, by tailor and ski enthusiast Leonardo "Mantis" Servadio. The name comes from his initials, L.S. It started with ski trousers, padded jackets and knitwear, and grew in popularity through the 1970s. Tennis came later.
